So I was exploring the internets, looking for cool music tshirts for Zoe and Lucy, and this popped up: a Vampire Weekend earflap hat. So retro rad. Don’t you think I should get two? Me too! Meanwhile, I found a whole site full of great band merch! Check it ALL out.
Have you seen this yet? The super speedy popsicle maker called Zoku? Zoe and Lucy got one for their birthday and we are in LURVE with it. Seriously, you can make a batch of homemade fancy pops in less than 10 minutes. And because of the super fast freezy magic, they can even be well designed pops! Rad, right? So far we have made Strawberry Cherry, Raspberry Lemonade, and Chocolate Milk pops. On the horizon are Cucumber Chili, Avocado, and Watermelon Mint. What else should we make? What kind would you make?
Sit down friends. I have something great to show you. Really really great. It’s a new iPhone app called Paper Town Friends created by clever Robin Rosenthal. Paper Town Friends features a bunch of paper cut-out characters for you to dress with their very own paper cut-out clothes and hats and accessories. Robin cut out by hand all the tiny clothes and shoes and hats in the app. And get this — they’re even tiny in real life! Teeny crocs — with holes! A wee shriner’s fez! Baby batik tunics! It’s all just so freakin adorable. (click for bigger) And I love…
Drooling over the tiny precision of these hand carved pencil leads by Dalton Ghetti. I think the P is my favorite. And the contrast of the beat up stubby pencils? If they weren’t so stunning they would be adorable. See more here — be sure to click through the gallery (Thanks Adam! Via The Telegraph)
As you may know, in addition to LEAP, I am also a co-founder of Kirtsy, a website where you can find some of the coolest things you ever saw online. The past few weeks, the Kirtsy team has been working like crazy on a big party that we’re throwing with BlogHer at their conference next week, and friends? It is going to be the raddest party ever! The event actually has an official name, and it’s a mouthful: BlogHer 2010 Voices of the Year Gala and Art Auction Curated by Kirtsy. So we’ve been calling it the BlogHer Kirtsy Party…
My awesome nephew Val (age 14) just got back from summer camp at the Flying Cloud Institute in Massachusetts. He was part of the team that made this fantastic video. How much fun would it be to go to summer camp in the 21st Century? So much fun, right?
